The Social Star program is a series of books that emphasizes general interaction skills, peer interaction, problem solving/dealing with conflict, emotions, and classroom work habits. The Social Start is a curriculum intended for use with elementary -age students. It is appropriate for students in regular education, special education, and at-risk programs. Each unit includes a goal statement, educator information, a series of lessons for teaching the social skill, a list of related activities, a list of related literature, and suggested ways to integrate social skill instruction throughout the school day.
